O nativo australiano definitivo, o verdadeiro habitante daquele país, hoje representam apenas 1% da população australiana. Foram massacrados nos anos 60 pelos colonos ingleses e por essa razão a necessidade de refúgio no deserto ou Norte da Austrália, ambiente hostil a qualquer pele mais clara (convenhamos que os 50ºC não devem ser agradaveis) . Espiritualmente ligados à terra este povo foi perseguido e descriminado pelo povo colonizador durante muitos anos e só recentemente foram aprovadas leis de anti descriminação racial no país, onde direitos como o de voto foram cedidos ao povo (estamos a falar dos verdadeiros australianaos que lá vivem há tanto tempo como 25 mil anos) . Ainda assim, a maior parte desta reduzida população continua a viver isoladamente longe das cidades. The definitive australian, the true birth right inhabitant of that country. Today they only represent about 1% of the active australian population. They were massacred in the 60's by the british settlers, and because of that these people searched for refugee in the desert or in north Australia, hostil enviroment for any light skin (50ºC are probably not pleaseant). Spiritually connected to the earth, these people were persecuted and discriminated by the colonial british for many years and only recently, laws were aproved for anti discrimination in the country, where rights such as the one that grants you the power to vote (we are talking about the real australians,living there for probably 25 thousand years). Still, most of this small population continues to live in isolated ground away from the cities. In addition to being the tourist attraction of the region it seems to me that they must be an asset that we should visit...
