Joana sent us pictures from "her life adventure, with one condition: not to show Joana in her bikini, it is my strong opinion that her bikini pictures would only "beautify" and make Australia even more actractive, but one has to respect the author's wishes. There are so many photos, that I will also divide them in parts for you to see, in the meanwhile enjoy the small slideshow to the left.

The Australian Dream will come True at 12/02/2010 until... I don't know!!! =)
“See You, When I See You!!!”
Finally I've come to write something... I apologize for the delay to the 3 visitors (2 of them are the authors) that came here loool, but now something good will be written in this blog.
First of all, I have to tell the truth about something that was said by my trip partner. It stains my name, and I will not allow it! The truth is that if someone will enjoys the gay party, it is him, you queer... I will publish some photos as evidence. Wait and see!!!
Let me get into more serious stuff… After many years of dreaming, I'll accomplish a dream I've had for many many years!!!
Going to Australia!!! That's it! The Australian dream will start on 12/02/2010!! And honestly (for me) I don't know when it will end, because I still don't know if I'll return! But my friends, if you want to see the scenes from the next episodes, you'll have to accompany us in this adventure, but from your house, through our blog.
It is true, in our adventure (if possible) we will update this blog with photos and videos from us, so that you'll all know everything (or almost everything, because some secrets will be locked inside a box) about our steps, adventures, acquaintances, discussions, joys... It will be something that you shouldn't miss... unless there is some soap opera on TV. Of course, that will be more important than this blog. :-p
This trip will be made by me João Paulo and my great friend (the only one available to come with me) António Silva!! We've known each other for many years now and thanks to missfortunate events (or not) we finally made it after 3 years to release our "schedule" and accomplish this dream we both had.
I hope you like our home-made blog and, leave us messages whenever you wish... (I warn you beforehand that I only accept good messages, don't come trashing me, cause I'm really a good person)... (or not)... looool
Kisses to everyone, and we'll see each other in a moment...
"See you when I see you"
Adônis in pursuit of the 5000 points
P.S. I haven't told you but I am an adônis, not the real one cause that's my colleague Caldeira, but I'm the second one... the 5000 points story… If you want to know more about it just ask our great friend Filipe Francisco, his cell phone is +351 96 537...

Um aperitivo/ A Snack
In the meanwhile just a taste of what there may be to come
Os bichinhos da Australia/ The Australian small "bugs"

There is not a doubt that Australia is one of the safest countries to visit — but it is also true that there are dangerous creatures and this is a place where danger lurks not only where it can reasonably be expected, but also in quite unexpected places.
The average tourist will probably not even come face to face with dangerous creatures at all — unless he goes off the beaten track where he is more likely to get lost than be attacked by an Aussie nasty.
Three of Australia’s dangerous creatures we normally hear about exist in or near water. These are sharks, crocodiles and the jellyfish — and can quite easily be avoided.
The great white
First, the sharks, certainly perceived as one of Australia's most dangerous creatures. Real danger comes from the great white shark which frequents the Southern Ocean, but you’ll find sharks in most seas, and occasionally they do come close to the beach where you may be having a swim.
Chances are, if you only go to beaches where there are people around, you won’t come face to face with a shark.
So go to known beaches and do swim between the flags — this is an area where surf lifesavers keep an eye on the water and the people who swim in it, and this would generally be an area free of sharks and other dangerous creatures.
Shark sightings
Surf lifesavers will clear a beach if there is a shark sighting.
If you go for a swim, the other danger is being caught in a rip, and marked off areas are generally safe.
If you go to a relatively deserted beach, you can risk being laughed at if you ask the locals about shark danger. Better to be laughed at, of course, than to be foolhardy.
It looks like we'll get a new pet...

1ª versão Road Book
By Adônis request, I've decided to post our first trip plan. To decide goals for our adventure. The idea to get from Melbourne to The Great Barrier is João's, mine 's to fly over australian soil, so we managed the two. We'll get to the Barrier and fly over it by helicopter. In the meanwhile, the investigation about different stops wich are mandatory to "transit by" (never forgetting the others that we shall meet by accident, the ones who might actually compose the true adventure), has revealed our first interess, besides Melbourne and Sydney we shall pass Byron Bay, and this is how we start ou first version of the roadbook:

What to expect fom February in Australia? The part about the gay party is particularly good for João:
The major Australian event filling almost the whole of February is the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras which culminates in the glittering Mardi Gras parade from Hyde Park through Oxford St to Moore Park.
The Chinese new year usually occurs in February. Chinese new year celebrations are held in major cities with a festival period running through several days and marked by street and lantern parades. Dragon boat races are held at Sydney's Darling Harbour and in some other cities.
There is no Australian public holiday in February.
And, yes, February 14 is St Valentine's Day but, alas, no public holiday.
Beachtime
February is still very much beachtime in Australia. Check out the Sydney and Melbourne beaches. Maybe you'd like to visit Jervis Bay with its white-sand beaches.
Be safe on Australian beaches.
Along the north Queensland coast past Great Keppel Island, be wary of the poisonous box jellyfish, including the deadly Irukandji jellyfish. February is within the jellyfish season of October/November to April/May.
O plano - Menos 2 meses e 14 dias
To travel, meet others and previous ones, to exist in trekking land, the Meca of bagpacking... I want to have an adventure.
I want to be able to record each and every moment in video and maybe film, and to show them here to everybody
